The Ascent of Mount Carmel ends, with a discussion of people who fixate on made-up ceremonies or get too hung up on particular prayers; then the third book breaks off after some brief comments on preachers.

However, the explanation of the soul’s journey continues in the final two books, usually called The Dark Night of the Soul. Please stick with us till the real end!
